Mavidair the New Generation of Air Purification

I have recently purchased the Mavidair Air Purifier Extreme for my EEG department for use during electrode attachment with collodion. I am truly satisfied. I have used collodion for over 20 years and have become “immune” to its smell. But it was always there and no matter how good the filtration it was never gone.

I used to use a carbon filter air purifier that did a fair job. I even had it specially formulated with a chemist using the MSDS to make sure I was getting the best filtration possible.  But once the filter was saturated, forget it. The fan was very loud and I had trouble hearing my patients at times.

The Mavidair Extreme air purifier now makes the collodion odor go away. I turn the system on shortly before the patient arrives in my department and only after a few minutes you can tell the purifier is working.  When I open the collodion there is only just a brief whiff of the odor then virtually it is nonexistent. It really does work.  My patients and parents no longer complain about the smell. Now it is quiet and I don’t have to talk loud over the noise. 

The old filters were expensive, big and messy to change. No more gloves and carbon all over the floor. 

The biggest advantage is that Mavidair is portable and I can now use it to hook up patients in their rooms where I had nothing before. I just carry it with me and start it up once arriving.  The nurses are much happier and no more nasty looks from people walking by in the hallway to see where that smell was coming from.
